1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing, registering an account, or logging into the Sharjah Malayali Samajam Student Management Portal (mm.sharjahmalayalisamajam.com), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are registering on behalf of a minor student, you confirm that you are the lawful parent or legal guardian with authority to bind the student to these rules.

2. Purpose of the Institution

SMS വിദ്യാദീപം is an educational initiative by Sharjah Malayali Samajam designed to teach the Malayalam language, literature, and cultural heritage to expatriate children in the UAE. Progression through our academic stages (Kanikkonna, Sooryakanthi, Ambazhathalolam, and Neelakkurinji) is governed strictly by mastery of curriculum evaluations rather than chronological age or school grade levels.

3. User Account Responsibilities

Users are provided with unique Student Codes, Directory credentials, or OAuth access grants. You agree to:

Maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials, passwords, and digital ID QR codes.
Provide accurate, current, and truthful information during online admissions and SMS membership verification.
Immediately notify portal administrators via admin@sharjahmalayalisamajam.com if you suspect any unauthorized access or breach of your account.
Accept full responsibility for all activities that occur under your authenticated session.

4. Acceptable Use & Portal Security

To preserve the integrity of our educational systems, users are strictly prohibited from:

Attempting to bypass authentication mechanisms, forge JWT/SSO tokens, or gain unauthorized access to staff, coordinator, or administrative workspaces.
Deploying automated scrapers, bots, or malicious scripts to extract student lists, examination papers, or directory data.
Duplicating or altering digital ID QR codes to falsify attendance records for classes or youth festivals.
Uploading files containing viruses, malware, or inappropriate/offensive content into the study material repository.

5. SMS Membership & Discounts

Fee structures and membership discounts applied during student registration are subject to manual verification against the official Sharjah Malayali Samajam central directory. If an submitted SMS Membership Number is found to be expired, invalid, or belonging to another family, the portal administration reserves the right to adjust fee structures to standard non-member rates and withhold admission approval until resolved.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

All syllabus content, downloadable study materials, prospectus PDFs, examination papers, graphics, logos, and software architecture within this portal remain the exclusive intellectual property of Sharjah Malayali Samajam. Study materials downloaded by parents or students are licensed solely for personal, non-commercial educational use.

7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service and any disputes arising out of the use of this portal shall be governed by, construed, and enforced in accordance with the applicable laws of the Emirate of Sharjah and the Federal laws of the United Arab Emirates.
